Default Honey Moon on the Cheap

Dear .Org

as some of you might remember I am marrying the Lovely Kitten this year.

Now due to theis finacial down turn we lost all Profit forecast on our house and having to sell due to relocation meant we are now scrabbling to pay for the wedding as the last thing we want is to finance the thing.

The wedding is mostly accounted for, but the honey moon remains somewhat "FAIL". I have knocked arround the idea of honey mooning a few months later but that has been met with mild grumbles and even I suppose it would just be a Holiday really.

So where do can we go for a week that is relaxing, cheap enough, a bit different and special..

Yes once again... moon on stick

ooh the moon theres a good idea..

oh skeg is out... so is blackpool...

Surely you can't go wrong with a nice little cottage in a nice little village with a nice little pub?

I guess it depends what you're after.

Congrats in advance

When are you gettinjg married?

we had our honeymoon 6 weeks after the wedding as christmas was looming and we wanted to spend it with the family. so we went in January as for it being more like a holiday than a honeymoon definately not. it was every inch a honeymoon

no idea on destinations to be honest need to know when you are getting married as i guess you will want somewhere with decent weather??

Look at anywhere in Eastern Europe that is outside the Euro-Zone. Poland is cheap

How about book the time off work and then get a last minute deal booked about 2 weeks before the wedding?

Last minute is a good idea. It might be worth looking on the internet and the travel agents for any speacial offers as well?

What sort of holiday are you after? i.e. hot, cold, mild? abroad or in the UK? short flight or long flight? How long do you want to go away for?

Theres loads of places you could go to depending on what your after. TBH im not being much help because I dont travel abroad often..!

*Gulp* Sell the bike? desperate measures and all that but if the honeymoon means so much, would it be worth sacrificing two wheels (through the winter months anyway) in order to get yourself a really nice honeymoon? Just a thought
