Default Mad or suicidal

I think any brave soul who has ventured out on a bike today if you are having the same weather as us is nuts. Maybe I am old and past it but I still have a self preservation sense. I went round for the paper and had a problem keeping on my feet,so if it starts to freeze a bit later on it will be a complete skating rink.----Even out in the car is very iffy

I do remember as a young teenager some mornings on my paper round where it was snowy/icy/very cold, and I observed that sometimes it was easier to stay upright on 2 wheels than 2 feet.

However I have to agree, I don't think this applies anymore when you add an engine into the equation. I haven't ventured out at all today

Its was quite literally sheet ice this morning with snow on top and there was still a bike filtering past me while sat at a standstill (shortly before just going home)

Stuck in a quandry at the moment...

dropped off bike for a service on saturday as was booked in for monday anyway.... hoping I can collect it tomorrow and at least get it back to work and keep it there. Got no chance of getting it home for a few more days as my hilly road gets no sun at all and takes ages to clear snow/ice even days after it clears elsewhere...

Dealer said they don't mind if I need to leave it there longer, but I feel a bit guilty leaving them stuck with it and taking up their space
