Would you like an Idle Banter without moderation? Keeping the U rating but without all the sorting out?

No. Because there are a lot of useful threads not connected to bikes, but still helpful that would get very annoying if derailed.

Perhaps less moderation by others, and more self moderation.
But finding that balance would be nigh on impossible. So it's probably best to keep things the way they are. |

If people stuck to the rules and didnt throw their toys out their pram and treated other's with respect and courtesy, there would be no need to moderate Idle banter in the first place....
I honestly dont think we do that much moderating, alot of other sites I'm on are a lot less tolerant than we are here IMHO

Think it works quite well the way it is, i've not been here long but i go on another site(not sure i should say that but hey ho), this site is much more mature SOMETIMES,
and more bike related stuff that actually helps, not people taking the p**s. |

I think the U rating should go. Obiovusly nothing offensive or overly explicit should be posted.
There won't ever be anyone under 16 on here anyway. But hey, i don't really care either way and i don't see any problems in this part of the forum. Last edited by Magnum; 15-02-09 at 04:55 PM. Reason: typo |

Magnum - there may well be people under 16 on here. Some people who rides bikes also have children and like to know that at this site will be suitable if they happen to look over a shoulder.
Oh yes, and work too. And general level of civility!
