Default Sv650 vs gsx650f

What are the differences/similarities of these bikes? Apart from the obvious (twin v il4 etc etc)

Just looking at pictures the GSX looks like a commuter bike with the high handle bars and the huge seat unit. I can't find any info on the power or torque, but considering it's an il4 650cc it can't be sluggish.

Does anyone here own one of these?

I think its about 85bhp and 44ftlb of torques... similar to the SV.

Test ride them both if you can and go from there.

had the gsx650f as a courtesy bike not so long ago, hated it. it left me completely flat.
very easy bike to ride though, like sitting in your armchair.

What a horrible looking bike. It's like a sportsbike that's got fat and old... And watercooled to boot.

Get a teapot 750 instead. Looks just as bad but will be half the price and will have similar poke.

Its got adjustable clutch and brake levers, 4 pot calipers (I think) and an GSXR style headlight.

sv only kicks out about 70 (or 33 ), bet the sv is more fun though.

Aye but in the grand scheme of things (when you take weight and power delivery into consideration) the SV will perform similar as far as acceleration goes, but will probably handle better tbh.
