I got elbowed in my temple playing football at the weekend, but didnt think much of it. Rode my bike home this morn, about hour trip, get home and I feel terrible, get changed and start being sick
![]() I guess the pressure from the helmet brought on the symptons. Im starting to get worried now becasue this wasnt that major of a knock but im still suffereing with a bad headache even after some paracetamol (Docs orders) and after 2 days rest! This is the 4th concussion ive had in 8 years, 2 reqiuring hospitailastion and brain scans, so im starting to get worried about it!! |

Had a couple myself when at school playing rugby, not fun, often resulted in spewing and having to be in a dark room as the light also made me want to be sick. Got sent to hospital for scans once too after spewing all over our local out patients.
I'd get checked over by the doctor again if you're still feeling bad, it's a head injury and not a cold after all. How did you get the others? Same way? |

BAD TIMES, i got bottled in a club couple years back and that resulted in a concusion, it sucked. Couple of days later i was doing some pull ups and it felt like my brain was squirting out with blood and i had an intense pressure feeling in my head, felt dizzy as hell and couldn't do anything, ended up in hosptial, CT scan and a lumbar punture later they told me i could go home as there was no internal bleeding. It was pretty painful.

my 3 major concussions have been from a) a cricket ball in the side of the head, misjudged a bonucer and it took me out completly, I just colapsed. b) I got sholder blocked in rugby, broke my nose and I was dizzy and had a massive headache c) stood up in my loft, hit the top of my head on a beam, i felt dizzy, had stars in my eyes (it was really like the cartoons) the light was horrible, was sick for ages. that was by far the worst one. It feels like they have all taken longer to recover from, but from reading there is no concencus on weather there is a culmative effect from head injuries. |

Definetly get it checked out if it causes you issues, like Tim said dont really mess with head injuries. |

ive had a few concussions, my worst was from ice hockey, ended up in hospital after not being able to move the left half of my body (scary).
I think the more you have the more susceptable you are to them, and the more damaging they will be (if i remember correctly!). I have changed after my serious one, i am aware of things i do differently. Take care, the head doesnt recover like the rest of the body. |
