Hi all,

Pretty straight forward, which do you prefer, Magnets or straps??

YC's Oxford one is magnetic with straps

EDIT: straps which go under the yoke - THAT'S the word I was after, couldn't remember it, ta Balky

I have a magnetic bag that also straps beneath the yoke. The magnets never move. I always use the rubber netting stuff to stop scrathes too

I got one of these as I was fed up with trying to find stuff after bunging it under the seat.

It seems to hold all the stuff I need for a day out wallet, phone, disc lock ect and it expands too so it get pretty heavy.
Its got a strap to go round the yoke but you really dont need it as it sticks like s**t to a blanket!

I have a magnetic one with the straps that Miss Yorkie Pudding's on about but I have never figured out how to use the straps properly so have never bothered.

The headstock straps are a PITA. I cut mine off after the first ride with it.

You forgot the other option

Bagster Tank cover and Tankbag.

More secure than magnetic and easier than strappy.

Costs a bit more - but WILL also help hide the dodgy paint on the tank

+1. First thing to go on a new tankbag. Downright dangerous too IMO. If it's going to fall off, I'd rather it fell of completely, rather than wedging itself where it'd compromise the steering.

Thanks everyone, I've seen an Oxford tank bag on flea-bay for 30 quid brand new, it comes with option of either magnets or straps. Think I'll be getting that with a magnet base

Thanks aswell soulkiss, I've looked into that but alas, I'm on a tight budget oh and my tank is the only part of my paint work that isn't dodgy! LOL
