well i told my boss where to stuff it today as he was being a total ******, so i now dont have a job althought my RAF interview went well the other day just waiting for some more dates. Anyone got any work for a bit of cash Lol. ill do anything Lol.

but now am stress freeeee

o and no one go to Warsash Marine Ltd he is a ****.

Thing is, what makes A GOOD MANAGER ??? Do they need to breathe down your neck, call you into a meeting every wekk to discuus every cough n splutter, give you a hard time if you are 10 mins late...etc

OR should they be understanding, encouraging, let youdo your job and keep thier noses out as much as poss....???

genuinely want to know what people think.....

abit of both, but knowing when to do what makes a good manager

A good manager gives you room to work in your own way and develop your own ideas but is still involved enough to steer your thoughts and keep you on track. Or someone who lets you doss about and do nowt

I think it doesn't matter which way a manager decides to manage. Be it breathing down your neck or being relaxed. The most important thing to me is that they are fair and consistant and in turn the employee's are fair and consistant back.

Just remember that "if" you do get in the RAF, sometimes you might have to do something you do not agree with.
It is a good idea to keep your mouth shut for a while and think of the bigger picture.
If the RAF don't take you then your next potential employer may not like the fact that you told your last boss where to stuff it.
You need to do a bit of forward planning mate.
When I left the RAF some years ago I had quite a few jobs just after coming out which were carp but I always made sure I had a job to go to before handing in my notice.
