if you know what your doing, its never going to be to hard.
i've changed lots of clutchs, never on a SV, but never had any trouble's generally straight forward. sometimes is just as easy to take it somewhere to get it done as you save having to get dirty, and you've got someone to bo**ock if it doesnt work. |

lean bike to left side so you don't have to drain oil.take plastic clutch cover off.you will see 6 bolts 10mm socket.take those off along with springs behind them.take plate springs were in off.clutch plates will be behind it.take them out and pay attention which order they are in,fiber,steel,fiber,steel....etc.last fiber is different that rest.it has 4 rubber bands on it.put new plates in and put it all together in reverse order.
it is as simple as it gets. |

I will add, it sepends on which model curvey you have. Some have a seperate clutch cover (identified by the fact it has bolts around it) and some you have to remove the whole right hand side engine case including the thermostat housing. If its the former then its easy as above (if you have a cordless scredriver with a 10mm socket adapter, it makes life even easier for the spring bolts)
