Default Avoid the blue pointies.......

I have been collecting bits so that I can have a complete set of spare body parts for my pointy.

So far I have managed to pick up everything for about £140.

This includes, £50 for all 4 pieces of plastic from around the rear seat and lights, with a couple of scuffs, a cracked (but easily repaired) fairing for £50 and a front mudguard for £25. The rest of the £140 is for postage and fixing materials.

I also was able to borrow a tank, which I believe cost the owner £80.

So for about £200 you can get a complete set of not quite perfect but will do body parts.

Why the Title "Avoid the blue pointies", well apart from the fairing (which is K6 red) they rest of the parts are off of crashed blue pointies......

David

PS, SV650Racer, can you please add the current prices for these items new from Suzuki?

Reason I am asking you to do this is that I assumed it would be VERY expensive to replace my cracked LHS under seat panel, but have now found out that with my time to do the repair and prep it, along with the cost
of paint etc, I would probablly have been better off buying the new panel, although, I wouldn't have found myself interested in bike painting if I hadn't tried myself.

Seems obvious to me that people with blue pointies crash in despair about not being as cool as people on BLACK pointies.

Understandable really, but remember that suicide is a sin in the eyes of Our Lord.

they look SOOOO much better than the others that there are just many more on the road, so obviously they'll be involved in more accidents

Black ones are harder to see, therefore less car drivers intentionally run us off the road.

Suzuki sells the blue ones cheaper as they know it's a fashion faux par. Therefore people on blue ones are less stylish AND stingier.

yeah, but the ultimate in cool is not achieved by going for the all singing all dancing latest trends, true style eminated from within but if you really need a non-blue pointy to look cool that's ok
