Rear or forward facing?

Its a truvelo but appears to be rear facing, unless it can get both lanes. Not really sure.

Doesn't really matter anyway.....................anyone speeding coming up to that junction is stupid.................it's a very nasty junction indeed!

Yep saw it on Sunday as we rode through.

As Lissa hints we slow for it, but I think I may still be a teensy bit over the 50 limit if there is good vision. I used to go through that and the other crossroad junction on the Fosse near there at a fair rate of knots in the past on the Sv, but since the Duke doesn't seem as noticeable to other road users I've had to allow more for the SMIDSY possibility.

A riding mate's friend was killed at either that junction or the other one a while ago.

At least I can see some point to that camera.

Truvelo's can be set to be rear or front facing. The detector is the piezo wires in the road. They are before the three white lines.

Piezo signal the "box" it then times the camera to take a pic as your front wheel passes over the three white lines. This is the calibration check.

Its not a radar trap. There is only one picture to confirm your reg number and show the calibration was correct.

If the box is behind the piezo wires (to the right on the above pic) then its rear facing.
