'Tis true, the ThunderAce is no more

I'll be wandering the streets of London cap in hand tomorrow night, so those who wish to point and giggle feel free to join me

Ding ding! Poor little bike. Hope you got the chance to take your Scottoiler off.

Doubt I'll be there tomorrow. I'll have a minutes silence for the steed.

I might be there...got about 0.001mm of front brake pad left...but hey...who needs brakes on a v-twin

If I have a scary ride to work in the morning, I'll be heading straight home with a plan to get new pads fitted on Monday...otherwise, I'll pop along...I think I am overdue on coffee buying...

Paul, sorry to hear you're bikeless mate

All I can say is that if the funds permit, & your heart is set on an R1 - GET ONE !!

However, if you're still open to other ideas. then I have a couple :-

1) How about a decent 'streetfighter' ? I don't know how much you're gonna get in your insurance payout - but I do know that you loved your (mildly 'fightered) SV !!

2) GSXR 750 - just about all the useable power and advantages of the litre bikes - but without the unneccesary bits - cheaper on the old insurance as well

I was tempted to add a third option (BMW GS) - but I was afraid of the amount of abuse I might receive !!

Surely (going by other therads, not knowledge) that because its the other persons insurance that will deal with this you can refuse to let them write it off?
