Default 173mph in a 50mph limit

I just liked the bit at the end where the speed device is used by police forces and is extremely accurate,so accurate that according to the defence lawyers it recorded 173mph on a car only capable of 127mph

I wonder what Lotus think of the variations?

Still a hefty penalty £5000 fine and 2year ban for speeding and dangerous driving [105mph in a 50mph limit]

Is this what we have to look forward to when the 50mph National Speed Limits come in??????????

this is what we have now. Even in a 60 you would still get a simular fine.

i did think that when they said weve caught bikes speeding over 200mph hold on a minute unless you have some very brave bikers all riding heavily modified turbod busas up and down your roads you might want to calibrate your guns a bit better hahahaha.

yes 200mph seems to be a common term when it involves bikes and the police

He plead guilty to dangerous driving and doing 105mph!

Daft bugger! If they can't prove the speed that you are travelling then there's no case to answer. All they can say is that he was "speeding" and without the actual figure, he could have got off.

Some lawyer!

Thats exactly what I was thinking, what a plonka........that would have been an easy defence.

Simple question.....What speed was I doing?

If they cant answer accurately its resonable doubt.

The fine is related to the individual and their earnings/Assets, so he must have been fairly well off.

173mph! Outrageous disgusting and a lengthy custodial sentence is in order.

(unless you're a transparently lying copper 'testing' a police car, in which case a sycophantic legal system will make the problem go away.)
