Did anyone else struggle this morning?
I was on the M1 (J1-9) and it was fine until I got to an exposed bit and felt like i was hanging for dear life- i'm going to have to eat lots of pies at lunch to weigh myself down a bit on the way home (either that or admit defeat and get the train). Presumably just slowing down and trying to keep lots of space around you is the way to go but i wasn't enjoying the 2 wheel experience today ![]() mary |

It is slightly breezy out there today. Makes the ride very interesting and twistedly fun if you have enough road to correct the gusts.

Go careful on your way home then. Hate being in the bike in the wind, especially going over the old severn bridge.....really strong gusts. I'm on the back so just have to sit there and hope for the best and stay with the bike!
Eat pies and doughnuts.....spoil yourself, you have a good excuse!!! |

Stick with it, mary!
There's a certain masochism in riding these things in adverse conditions, but practice that & your riding will only improve. ( Not that it needs to )

thanks all.
I was a bit scared this morning to be honest but i'm feeling much calmer about going home now. (i'm glad i'm not going over any bridges though! ) And on the bright side the M1 is normally incredibly boring - at least I had some excitement ![]() mary |

I find going a bit faster and keeping the revs high-ish helps with the wind
nearly ended up in the side of a car this morning with the gusts |
