So I have a car, with 12 years NCD.
I buy a truck, take out a new policy with no NCD. I crash the truck into an aston martin and they claim against me. Does this claim against me on the truck policy affect my renewal on the car policy (lets assume I'm honest here an tell them like I would) ? EDIT: this is hypothetical - I havn't got the truck yet Last edited by tigersaw; 09-04-09 at 07:33 PM. |

u get raped on all policies held.
I had a bike crash the guy claimed off me; car insurance went from 1k-2.5k, bike insurance from £300 - £800. ******s Try settle out of insurance if you can and it's worth it. I couldn't because the guy was anti biker and wanted to do the old whiplashymaroo. Your insurance premiums will be affected for 3-5 years I think and you have to start NCB all over unless it was protected.

Insurance is basically a clean way of being raped.
I find it utterly wrong that I cannot use my car's no claims on my bike policy, yet if I crash the car I have to declare it when insuring the bike...double standards? |

Welcome to the world of insurance
![]() You've done well to avoid them for 12 years though! I lasted like 2.

You'll still retain your 12 years cos you didn't claim against that policy, but you need to declare the claim that was made against the other policy.

yup it would, and if you didnt declare it and the insurance co found out they would do you for non-disclosure and void your insurance

But you hit someone from behind, if you'd built up NCD on another policy you would have kept that.
