Default Clough

Not the film, a tribute program, absolutely brilliant. What a man he was, I've never really seen any footage of him before until tonight. What a funny yet strict and forceful manager, I would have hated to play under him yet honoured.

Anyone else watch it?

Will be off to see the film when it comes out.

Saw it last week (if it's the same one, had the unveiling of his statue in Nottingham City Centre?). Was very good and he truly was a 'one-off'.

In my opinion, it's a crime that he was never allowed to manage England.

Am I correct in believing the film focuses on his Leeds job tho? Shame, as the man's a legend in Nottingham. Super Reds not doing quite so well nowadays

Yes, the key behind his success some believe, how he went to what was, the best side in the UK and tried to make them an even better side.

Yes, he was arrogant, that was what made him by the looks of things.

A genius but troubled man in my opinion, a great, great manager and one of football's great characters, but his comments in the wake of the Hillsborough disaster left a rather nasty taste in my mouth I'm afraid.
