thanks in advance, kyle. Last edited by KyleX; 02-04-09 at 10:11 AM. Reason: pointy not sharpy lol |

I know that they're different and that the curvy link pipe doesn't fit on a pointy because the oil filter gets in the way but does it work the other way round?
If not, where can I find a link pipe for an Sv650 K1? |

Your mixed up mate -are you looking for a link pipe(used after the original system has been cut to fit an after market can)-or are you after replacement downpipes?

Ok, I'm on a PC now, I was on my phone taking a crap at work when I made this thread haha.
Basically my 2001 SV650 is fully stock and the exhaust is all one system, I know that if I want to put an aftermarket can on it I am going to have to cut it, I found a nice blueflame exhaust for cheap on ebay because it has a dent in it, it comes with a link pipe but it doesn't say what year it's for and the seller hasn't replied to my email. Here is a picture of the exhaust: So I understand a bit more, does the right bit of the link pipe (the bigger part) fit over my pipe from where I cut it & then does the can slip onto the left part of the link pipe? Also, where do I cut my current system from? I will edit this post on my phone later with a picture of what my exhaust currently looks like. Try to ignore my finger :P ![]() ![]() Last edited by KyleX; 02-04-09 at 01:14 PM. |

yep the right hand side part goes over your stump-measure the length of the larger bit on your link then leave that on the original system and cut remainder off from the welded seam -do a search on the site -you'll find it put more techy than what i've written
