Default 454697819 Down....

Morning All

would have posted this sooner however i dont yet have the internet at our new house.

I Had an accident on sunday at 11.30 in the morning... bottom line is I went around a corner and bam..... on the deck. On investigation I hit a patch of gravel which had washed down the road in the wet weather.

I rolled and slid for abpout 15 meters as I was doing between 30 and 40 i estimate.

I have a broken thumb and lots of bruisies... my Brand new leathers saved the day but are now a little bit worn in places.

the tuono is looking sad for itself, and will most likley be a total loss given the damage to the frame, the other damage is relativly minor but all on v v expensive parts

I am very angry that I didnt see ths patch of gravel (road chippings) hiding in the shadow of the tree in the verge but am very greatful its not much worse....

ALWAYS WEAR YOUR LEATHERS... for those that dont.

Any way, ill post pics when I can get them onto my machine, untill then.. shiny side up and Ill be back at soon, althogh the Tuono might not get replaced if they write it off...

ooooh codine is goooooood for pain....

Sad days

Update

Pics of Tuono are here..

http://www.facebook.com/album.php?ai...9&l=1f1952f8cd

Apologies its a face book link as I dont have time to do the flickr thing this week.
The damage isnt that bad but the bits that are damaged are pricy, with some of the bike being financed I need it back to ship shape and having protected no claims I am going down the route of claiming for it (all things being equall)
Damage is Frame, exhaust, rear plastics, radiator, front belly pans, handlebars, twisted forks etc etc, Its rideable but as it isnt straight I want it sorted properly.

Thanks for all the well wishes, the thumb is ok, and im getting on with it all, I am just accepting that **** happens however ****ed at myself I am for it happening.

Ill update again when the Insurance have had a look.

Alex

Sorry to hear about your off and glad it doesn't sound like you're too badly injured. Codeine is indeed great; bikers who don't have a history of substance abuse shouldn't need a prescription for it IMO.
