Question Bandit 1250, S3, B-King running cost questions.

I have a few little questions to present to all and sundry - need a wee bit more input before i start booking test rides (be a few months yet but i supppose errrr summer is best for a tester)

1- Bandit 1250 - MPG and rear tyre life (for comfort looking at te GT version)
2- Speed Tripple 1050 MPG (955 mpg as a guide too) and rear tyre life
3- B-King - any err anyone with experience of this it's a possible contender (against the speed tripple anyway).

Getting a bit stiff in the back region for a gixxer these days....

Any insight into the above is appreciated (apart from the fact they are not V twins LOL)

Ta Muchly!

phwoar, nice choices.
Is rear tyre life a massive issue on big bikes? never really thought of it. Didn't think it could vary tooo drastically

I did a write up of the B-King here after being loaned it for a couple of days.

Not ridden the other two on your list (yet).

Cheers fer the linky to the post

Tyre wear used to be a big issue (1000 to 1500 on a V-Max if thrashed a bit) - not so sure now with dual/tri compounds....

I own a speed triple and I've never had to replace any chains, tyres or sprockets yet. Or fuel for that matter. Actually, I've never even ridden it. Doh!

Yep, Bandit 1250 is a big old lump, heavy bike + alot of torque, it will IMHO heavier on the tyres than an SV.

My GSXR ate its first rear BT-014 after 1200 miles. Also tyres cost a little bit more than SV tyres to as they are wider which = higher cost.

1200 miles?! ****! That's like 10 tyres a year for a lot of all weather riders. Now I see why you get so many weekend warriors.
