mine are always in my pocket. I once drove 5 miles to collect a spare set only to find them in my pocket when I got back. Either that or in your mate's astra...but in that case you won;t get them back until he sells it for scrap and the scrap man is suspiciously nice.
or if we're talkin bike keys in the ignition? Or in the seat lock?

Retrace everything you've done and everywhere you've been. Try to re-enact it.. works for me most of the time.
