Default db killers

MOT is due for my bike and it is a little (alot) too loud to pass at the moment. does anyone know if these work:

Just wondered if anyone had any experience with them? Or if anyone knew any good MOT testers in the leamington/coventry area?

They do work

I have a DB killer - not this one- for my ART can and although it quietens the noise down it sounds ****. Only ever put it in for the MOT.

This one says it needs packing etc - double check what you need.

What can do you have?

It's a renegade race can. The "competition use only bit" has been mostly dremeled away though. See pic:

Thanks for pointing that out. It most likely needs repacking as i've put 4k miles on it and the exhaust wasn't new when i got the bike. Anyone know anything about repacking?

Get yourself one of these:

I bought one for my Viper race can.Cheap, nice bloke. Really easy to fit, work really well.
Passed it's MOT no problem with it. Fits under the pillion seat too.

HTH.

Bought one of those a few weeks back & fitted it to my Kwak 750 fighter with a 200mm can. It took the edge off nicely without totally killing the sound - I personally would recommend these units - just a bit of a bugger trying to drill a hole in the outlet for the retaining screw with cheap drill bits, (note to self - stop buying crap tools).

I fitted one of the bike it ones (on ebay for about £25, didn't pay that though) and it completely kills the sound. Makes the bike not worth riding.

The Kwak was still sounding fruity enough - unfortunately the bit of sound it did knock off enabled me to then hear the bottom end rumbling - ignorence was bliss. Ergo i chopped it in sharpish before it threw a shell & got me SV

hehe

Mine completely removes all rumble and I can't even hear the exhaust at high speed, also seems to have messed with my revs. Not a happy bunny. Also the major setback was people not moving/noticing me when filtering.
