I have a set of wets on wheels for the SV but haven't gotten around to buying tyre warmers yet. I'm at Lydden this weekend and it looks fairly certain to sheet it down. Can you run wets without tyre warmers and just takes it easy for a few laps to get heat into them?
I've no experience with wets at all but I assume as they operate in wet conditions they're designed to run colder anyway. |

For wets, I've always been told 'just bang the warmers on for 15 mins before the race'. If you go easy on them for a lap or two (which I'm sure you would do if it's pi$$ing down anyway) you should be fine.
