Has anyone got a tip on how to remove the brake pad pins which are siezed solid in the holes.
I have heard about drilling holes but am a bit nervous about getting that wrong. |

If they're really stuck then you may end up drilling them out, i've had to do it on about 3 rear calipers so far.
I've tried locking pliers and all sorts to get them ouy but to no avail in the past. I now have very well greased stainless steel pins

Yep, drill a hole behind the pins, then whack it real hard. Had to do it with my front pins the other week.
The advantage is, once the hole is there, its all ready for the next time. Though don't make the hole bigger then the pin. |

What did you whack it through with, did you use the drill bit ?

I split my rear caliper in half by loosening the bolts, then i was left with the seixed pins which i could get hold off. Other way it to drill holw and tap them through.
Ive got spare pins for sale if you need them. |

Do a search for "caliper rebuild" on the forum, there are a couple of threads from people with similar issues. General advice seems to be to use heat (blowtorch) and shock therapy to loosen it.

I used a hammer, wurth penetrant, heat, an awl (?), and mole grips.

split the caliper and get the pin in a vice, turn the caliper and you'll free te pins without having to drill.
