Not really for running because you can use it for cycling. Pretty decent for those that do their running or cycling. As I've only just got back on the pushbike yesterday as my knee seems to be okay doing that (yet I couldn't sit on the SV

Yeah, that was a problem for me with google maps. Doesn't have footpaths on it, okay so you have to guesstimate, but still. The calculator, I won't be taking much notice of, but my cycle tonight is 12ish miles or so, and it says if I do it in 2.5 hours I'll burn 1800ish calories, that to me seems over realistic, but at my weight maybe a possibility.

Just been having a look at this...
Whats classed as the difference in Mountain Biking and Cycling on it? Cos the elevation changes are tracked on it ![]() Is it cos using a proper road bike on the road is easier than a mountain bike, or is it classed as terrain question? |

Also MTB have different sized wheels so it might be factoring that into the speed equation.

Gotcha, reason being, there is also a walking option and hiking, so I'm sorta confuddled lol. I'll just half the calories between the two. Or maybe see if I can afford a computer for the bike.

Tesco's do a cheapo heart rate monitor for about £20 its not all singing and dancing but IIRC it does heart rate & calorie burn...
Might be a bit cheaper than buying a specifc cycle computer with the extra functions....
