Since my off last month, and getting the bike repaired with much help and parts from the org, the bike just doesn't feel the same riding
![]() it could be a physcological thing, as I did smack the armco on the right side, before falling onto the left side, but the left side seems fine. 1. My choices are; book it into a Suzuki Dealer and get them to test and check the bike to see if all is well? identifying my issues / re-MOT - could get pricey. 2. Repair/Repray the scratched fairings, and attempt to sell/trade the bike in for another Curvy?maybe or something else - Clean slate. 3. Go into my overdraft/ mortgage payment holiday buy replacement bike, then strip the old bike down, sell the parts and whatever I get then replenishes my overdraft. Decisions, decisions - anyone been in the same boat. |

If you don't need the MOT, I believe that Sid Squids hourly rate may be quite favourable if he has time to fit you in, you may even be able to persuade him to do the infamous "Sid Squid Pillion Ride on your Own Bike" where he will show you exactly why there is nothing wrong with your bike and its capable of a lot more than you think. As for the symptom you describe - did you have the forks checked out - sounds like one could be a little out - which if it is, should be a cheap fix and quite local - Motoliners straighten them and they are in Maidstone. Of course if you show up on it @ SELKENT or Soho, people will always be willing to poke and prod at it and try and help diagnose the issue. If you fancy Soho tomorrow night, I can meet up with you somewhere and guide you in.

After my various offs I often feel the same, things don't feel right. It takes time to re-bond with me and bike.
However, that's not to say that there isn't something wrong and even if it is for your confidence, it may be useful to find out if there is anything wrong or if it is more psychological, being told that it is nothing may push you to work on the psychological aspect ![]() Chin up kid. |

Weather its Squid or anyone else really, hell even me, i'd suggest you let somone else rid the bike and see what they make of it. It could well be in your head after your off.
or as SK says, come to Soho and get a whole bunch of peoples opinions.

If you put it into some armco I'd be tempted to book it in with Squidward for a quick check over of the alignment etc.
That should set your mind at ease and reassure you that you're just being a pansy. ![]()

She doesn't need an MOT as she was not written off as I didn't make a claim on the insurance, but I suppose one wouldn't hurt it being done again - and Sid Squid could be a good call, seeing as I'm not too far away from away from Norf London, pillion ride on my own bike - sounds interesting. Yep, had both forks checked by Motorliners and they wer fine, had top and bottom yoke straightened as well. The only thing I haven't checked is the Frame and Sub-Frame, but could this be my next step? Could well pop along to the Soho meet tomorrow, I'll let you later by PM, as I'm in Kings X so not too far. |

Yep...that would I? but hopefully need to keep the bike in one piece, so no knee downs please - as I couldn't take responsibility if the bike fell apart doing so.
As my "Chicken Strips" on the rear wheel are about 1.5" thick ![]() |
