Had one of those this morning on the way into work... going over a speed-bump less than a mile away from work and heard a 'clunk clunk' noise (over the top of my ear plugs!) as I went over it...
Baring in mind I'm relying on my bike to take me and the missus to Glastonbury Festival tomorrow, I was like "oh s***!" thinking the front forks had either gone, or something was majorly wrong with them, and that it had majorly messed up travel plans for getting to Glasto! ![]() Luckily... it only turned out to be one of the brake calipers - the bolts holding it in place must've worked a little loose with the vibrations over the last year since they were last taken off, and they must needed tightening up! Thank foook that's all it was ![]() |

Mine goes squeek, clunk, clop - pop! (and repeat). So far I know why it makes each noise but if it develops many more Its gonna get hard to keep track of.
Is there somewhere safe to keep your bike at glasto??

Yeah, they've got a proper secure compound (going by the website... will be the first time using it) - you get given a ticket as you leave the bike and then have to use the ticket to get back in at the end of the festival.
It's free too! ![]() Linky to the info is here: http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.u...-and-motorbike Quote:

The SV front end is well known for clunking over speed bumps...

True... but the clunking noise wasn't the 'normal' bottoming out clunking noise
