Default Is there a bike which is "All weather riding proof?"

After having my SV for 2 years now, and getting sick of removing knackered allen bolts, washing all the time, stripping brakes 3/4 times a year is there a bike which weathers better and doesn't require as much brake attention?

I look at a VT500 on a D plate which barely has any signs and is in immaculate condition for a 20 year old bike which gets ridden in all weather.

maybe you wash it too often. I try to but it doesn't get done much - its a K3, ridden in all weathers, and some bits are furry but nothing is broken. And the brakes have only been overhauled once.

My mate has had his SV from new (K4 model) and uses it to commute in all weathers and has only ever overhauled the brakes once. The last time I chatted to him he had clocked up 56k miles too.

i fitted braideds all around and have gone through a set of pads front and rear. Mine's only got 10k on too.

Or invest in GSXR front end .

I kinda like that weird bubble thing, was on Top Gear back in the day right? I'd love to know what happens when you hammer the brakes on and forget to put the legs down.

Bike bubble - why?!!! It's a bike (and not a very good one) not an art installation!
