I don't blip and never have. Maybe I'm deficient? But then, I ride a 675 where the paint falls off and the gears too if I'm not careful

It does make for cleaner downchanges with less surge and a smoother ride. I've done it since I had a FS1E in the late 70s, but only because I was emulating my racing heros like Sheeney and Roberts

I dont even know what blipping the throttle is. I asked in a similar thread and never got an answer!
