Recommend me a Home Sound System or sell me one

Hi all

Broke my 6 year old system the other day, gutted to say the least, it was only £15 so I'll get over it.

Anyhow, don't have a huge budget (roughly £50-£100), so can anyone recommend one?

Guessing my budget is slightly too low looking on comet etc, so if anyone has a second hand system they don't want/need that they wanna make a few bob on, let me know

Doesn't need to have DVD player, but that would be good I suppose.

I have been contemplating selling my speakers , they are 2 floor standing Paradigm speakers in Black finish , huge centre speaker to match , massive powered sub as well and 2 rear Eltax Speakers to go as well . My amp died but I was looking for around £200 for the speakers just to get them out of my house and buy a smaller system . After looking around I realised that these small surround packages just dont cut the mustard in comparison and are not that cheap for what you get . A budget increase for me or keep the speakers and buy a new amp .

Whaddya reckon then chaps? Buy some speakers and add to the system if and when?

DAB not freeview you sponge Digital radio, differnt channels etc that you cant get on FM type stuff!

Duno why, but seeing someone getting called a sponge makes me laugh out loud.

I know what DAB is, that was another question. I want something that hooks up to the TV and DVD, so I guess something with scart compatability.

Ah ok. Sorry, didnt mean to offend Sponges then!

You mean using it as a sound system for your TV/DVD player? I cant really say without looking at them. Sheck the spec and look for an AUx input. If they have that,t hen yes you should be able to run your DVD/or TV through the system if either have phono outputs on the back of the TV or DVD. Hope this helps.
