I would imagine you take the right hand switch gear (black pod with your kill switch and starter button on it) apart and remove a bit of plastic that stops the throttle being turned the whole way round, but I've not done it myself.

I have a k6 and the throttle stop is at the OTHER end of the cable. There is a piece of metal with a brand mark on it, brass in colour, which stops about 60% of travel. It has Alpha stamped on it. Look at your FI paper work, the same logo will be on there somewhere.

If you look through the left side of the frame, and pull the throttle around, you will see how the cable moves and where it stops. look around and it will soon become obvious. The bit it stops at, on the anti-clockwise turn is about 90 deg round if my memory serves me correctly.

I think you will most likely need to remove the air restrictor washers as well. I don't know for sure but i think that the fuel:air mix will be wrong (if you don't remove them) as you would be able to feed more fuel and not enough air. if that makes sense. I needs to be all or nothing.

To take it off you will need to lift the tank and remove the air-box. Then work out how to remove the metal block etc. I haven't actually done it myself, but it looks fairly simple. Probably some screwdriver/spanner wizardry, im sure if you have a good mechanical sense you should be fine.

Obviously if your still on your restriction I wouldn't recommend doing this.

good luck

Ben.

found the piece of metal and just attempting to remove it now, we think the people that put it on thread locked it as it is in extremely tight and we are starting to round the head off but cheers for letting us know where it was.

Loctite is highly likely for a throttle stop, as it makes it harder for you to remove it yourself.

Try using a hairdryer to heat the screws and melt the loctite, but be very careful around the fuel.

yeah, thats the main problem, it's right next to the throttle cables and i don't want to damage them as if they break, i can't afford new ones fitted.
