I just had to replace my rear BT021 tyre because i can't afford rear and front, i asked them to swap like for like... when i got back to the flat (only a 2 min ride) i realised they'd put a Conti road attack on!!
First off, is it a better tyre? Second off, i've got a BT016 on the front, will they work as a pair or not? I've gotta work out whether or not to go back and get them to replace the fkn thing tomorrow O.O Thanks muchos. ![]() |

It won't kill you but seeing as you did ask for a particular tyre, I'd say, go back and tell them put it right. Alternatively, they could always knock 50% off

Kk thanks for the reply :P Needed some advice because i've gotta go back tomorrow.
As long as the tyre won't be a problem with one brand on either wheel, it sounds fine to me. |

The conti is a far better tyre than the bt021.

I have a Conti road and like them. Haven't used the BT021 so can't compare, but the RA is a perfectly acceptable tyre.

They're good tyres, but that's not the point - you asked for a given tyre and that's not what they fitted.
They may not have the relevant tyre in stock, this being so you should have been informed and the decision on what to fit made by you with their assistance.

Rang up the guy today and he told me, even though he was the one who quoted me, that £110 wouldn't even buy the tyre let alone fit it (********), so he put a cheaper one on for me.
I've spent 900 quid with them since last November and their customer service has been awful so far. Shall try and find another reputable place asap. Thanks for replies. |

thought it was a bad idea to put a sticky tyre on the rear? compared to the front?

BT-016 on the front is a sticky supersports tyre, so best way round for mis matched tyres. However profiles might be quite mismatched too...
