Default massage parlours..should they be legal?

Ok no need to go too deep into this one, just wondering what you lot think.
In New Zealand they are legal ,registered and just sat on the street like any bar or club.
No one bats an eyelid to them and it seems that everyone uses them or knows someone who does.
According to people ,they are only about 75 pounds per hour.
Should they become legal in GB?

Wait, massage parlours aren't legal in the UK? Alot of spa's will be out of business.. unless I'm getting my 'massage' confused..

Nope he's talking about Brothels.

And yes, they should be legalised, it would protect the women, protect the clients and raise some cash for the government.

I think brothels should be legalised under very strict conditions. As SK says it would protect the women and clients to some extent. Might lower some crime statistics too.

In New Zealand there are also loads of paintball, and off-road bike places.

A lot of the brothels there are also strip-clubs, with internal connecting doors - I guess it was like that pre-legalisation, but now its more open.

So, combine the 3/4 businesses, add acommodation and you have the ideal Stag Do Venue.

Legalisation makes a lot of sense.

* Much safer for the girls - they can have secure premises, regular health/drug checks, and the ability to go to the police if assaulted by a punter.

* Safer for the punters - less likely to get robbed or catch something nasty.

* Better for the community - properly licensed premises instead of street corners in residential areas.

* Less opportunities for people trafficing and slavery.

Unfortunately, the tabloids will get on their 'holier than thou' soapboxes as soon as pragmatic measures like this are suggested.
