Default SV wheel on a USD (99-02)

Has anyone done this, put the SV orginal wheel on a USD front? I imagine some spacers would need to be made up.
Though the main concerns that I can see is the disc mountings in relation to the callipers and if the spindle will fit?

Yes, of a fashion. I have a USD front end to fit, the guy I bought it off had a new spindle and spacers made up, so the SV wheel would fit. But to make it fit, i'll be using the GSXR discs and calipers.

But it's still packed up, and I haven't had the time to assemble it to see if it all fits. But hopefully I'll do this all in the next couple of weeks.

The bloke got a local engineer to do it, and had done the same for his wifes SV, so it should be ok?

Want some pics when I've done it? It is a 1991 GSXR 750 front end.

But in the For sale section there is a later front end where the Org'er had spacers made up.

why would you want to when you could get a srad wheel which look the same as the sv wheel and use a srad axel.

seems easyer plus we know they fit. also what is your reason for wanting to do it? is it to use the sv speedo??

H'mm I think I paid him about £125, but he paid something towards it, as I had to wait nearly 6 months from buying the front end off him, to him sending all the bits.

He offered to get it done for me as an extra service. The engineer who did the work had a lot of family problems, which resulted in the much of the delay. otherwise I think I would have fitted the front end by now.

Some pics this week, depending on free time, due to school holidays and demanding children

Yes, mine uses the SV speedo, none of that messing about with magnets and rear wheel fitting of the sensor etc,etc

ok can some one explain this to me more you have done a gsxr front end but instead of using srad wheel and exle your using sv wheel and axel dosent this consist of a lot of work

i think pics would help me out as i allways thought of this but could never see it working and allways thought it would look crap with loads of spacers ect

I was trying to find out how much trouble it would be, as I have a SV wheel. Saves work on the speedo, though in the log run I'm thinking it might be to much trouble.
