Default Insurers for Restricted SV650 S

I am doing my DAS and thought that I would restrict my currently parked up SV650 S K3 so that I could gain some additional riding experience. Have just purchased a s/h Suzuki ECU restrictor but so far have only found Bennets that will actually insure the bike. Some others will not as non standard, and InsureandGo saying that it was illegal, until I pointed out the law and the guy went and spoke to his manager who stated that the companies they deal with will not insure.

Can anyone point me in the direction of others that may insure at competitive rates?

TIA

+1 for express. Seem really good on prices too.

Anyone who gives you crap, tell them to point out in the law where it tells you a restriction certificate is required and ask them to quote you the section of law and laugh at them when they find out there isn't one.

You do know you can't ride it without being in radio contact with an approved instructor until you pass your test, right?

Do you mean to ride as a learner as you said for additional experience to DAS??

in which case it would be illegal as you can only ride a bike upto 15 Bhp as a learner, and the restrictor for the SV is 33 Bhp.

MCE and Carol Nash are fine. Although the others have a point about it being illegal for you to ride your SV without an instructor there with you...

Ebike, gave me a good price and didn't ask for restriction proof.

Carol nash, they have always insured me, and they allow you to have £1000 of modifications before declaring anything (at elast, thats what they told me)

Have you already passed your cbt and 125 test then?
If so, youll be able to restrict the bike and ride.
If not, then it will be illegal to ride the bike.
