Post More Electrical woes!

Right, so I do an oil and filter change, lift the tank to check all conectors and cables because of a previous problem, remove the air box and notice quite a bit of crap around the front coil, remove, clean and replace it (Yep wired it back the right way).
After finishing the oil job go to run her, bang on ignition sort of under tankish up she fires, rough as a bears ass open throttle front cylinder ain't doing nowt but tick over and dying when gassed, pongs of petrol (presumably I'm feeding the exhaust some pure petrol).
Disconnect rear coil, restart, just about ticks over, gas it she dies.
Sound like the coils goosed? have noticed over the past week or so when whacking the throttle open shes been a bit sluggish then started to pull like a train, could this be an intermitent coil fault and how do you (if at all) test them? If the coil is U/S any advice on what to fit (please bear in mind the other half will not be happy with me using her CBR125 A FAR BETTER BUILT MACHINE for ever )

Thanks
