So on the way home tonight, just got about a mile out and when I went to change into second gear, the whole lever just swung up!
Naturally I thought the worst and thought the gear box had failed or something.... ![]() Turns out the lower bolt holding the rear set in place had disappeared? ![]() Just wondering if this is common or if it's a tell tale sign of wear for something else. Its a pointy that's covered just over 42000 miles and is well looked after. Cheers ![]() |

well looked after includes checking bolts for torque. or someone has tried to pinch your rearset.

Good point haha, and It's kept in a plant tunnel tent thing well out of the way at work, can't think that anyone would see it there or that the customers that we get in would want to steal it!

I'd assume the bolt was loose and has fallen out. You'll need another one, might be worth running over the bike checking other bolts are tight.
