Was in my local Halfords the other day looking at Sat Navs with me mum (living the dream I know...) and saw they had a set of 10 (8-19mm) bendy head clicky ratchet spanners, i drooled until I saw the price... £80!!! They're having a laugh I exclaimed...
Well, someone must've heard me as the very next day I went in and they were a on sale for a more reasonable £40: Linky Just in case anyone was interested ![]() ![]()

I've got a set of them and they're pretty good, not 80 quid good but good. I got mine for about £40 a couple of years ago

they are currently doing a set of screw drivers free when you buy 5L of semi or fully synth oil.

Lifetime guarantee, not a fan tho, I prefer a socket set with shorty spanners for working on cars and bikes, there isn't always the space to swing the ratchet bit. Knuckle head spanners are more useful IMHO

they are always £40, except when they put them up to £80 for a few weeks in order to offer them at half price again!
(They are really good spanners mind) |

The screwdrivers are, I have 3 sets (2 lots free with oil) work well and I think I have enough to outlast me (well with 3 sets!).
The ratchet will eventually break (well the one on my 8mm did anyway), and leave you with a one ended spanner, and the ratchet isn't covered by the lifetime guarantee. |

What oil do you have to buy to get the free screwys? Bike's just about ready for a service. Might have to make a dreaded halfrauds buy(providing it's not crap oil/usual halfords priceing)...although I get staff discount which is a plus
