Default Servicing in Northumberland/Tyne & Wear

My first post and a recent returner/convert to the joys of two wheeler motorised transport. I live in the Wylam NE41 area and would like to know of any local independent garages/mechanics who can carry out repairs/servicing on my vastly underused K7 SV650S. I am planning to use the people at MandS in Newcastle for my first service and would also like to know anyone's experiences (good and bad). Actually this is my first post on any forum anywhere so thanks for reading

Welcome to the .Org. Pop on over to the Pennine Massive and say hi to us locals.

I'd like to just suggest NOT using M&S.

They're a bunch of bodge artists.

My colleague's BMW R1200 came away with knackered front brakes from M&S.

I know someone else who came away with loose head bearings after a fork change.

And another mate of mine had M&S forget to tighten up the spindle clamp bolts on the front of his... I think... CBR something or other.

I would strongly recommend home servicing. You must be coming up to being out of warranty anyway - although warranty is no reason not to home service anyway. If you're not mechanically minded, then there's plenty of us round here who will be only too happy to help.
