Default benefits entitlement

after my off i am going to be off work for a while and after next week i will be put on statutory sick pay of 70 a week ... and this is going to get me in debt and behind on bills/Rent Ect ....

i am going to ring the dole office tomorow but was just wondering if anyone on here is aware of any benefits i may be entitled to ? cheers ant .

SSP = the same amount as dole pay, I dont think your entitled to anything else from what I can remember

If you have protection on your mortgage for critical illness etc it may cover your accident. Mine covers for anything that stops me working and then pays the equivalent to my wage.

May be worth checking.

There is a website that will calculate what benefits you are entitled to mate, just google for it.
Or go see you local CAB who will help you face to face.

read the thro you insurance, you might have personal injury cover that you don't know about...... i went thro the same when i had my off, its surprising how 70 quid a week doesn't go anywhere

i did this but what it came back with didnt make much sence think i will just wait and see what they way tomorow .

was just wondering if anyone elce has been in this situation .

i am going to look into some sort of insurance cover that covers bills ect when i get back on the bike .
