Doing a Recce tomorrow 03/09/2009 for a sponsored cycle ride.
My boss asked me today what I was doing work wise tomorrow...
I said all the lads had jobs on and that they knew what they were doing till Friday knock off. Then he says good, Tomorrow we're doing a Recce of that google maps road route you printed out for me... Right then Richie, This is what we're Doing. In aid of The Army Benevolent Fund, we're cycling from RAF Leeming to Manchester, then on to Birmingham, then onto Oxford, then finally the big smoke London. Collecting money in each location, rattling buckets and alike. this will be over 4 days starting the 3rd week in September... So if you see us lot Please give a donation in our buckets... Cheers. I did a similar thing years ago when I was at RAF Cranwell. We did a sponsored ride to Great Ormond Street Hospital....on RAF 3 speed bikes...  Admittedly we did it in shifts. I was fortunate to be one of the ones that did the London leg. First time in London, and on a pushbike, what an experience. |

Jesus.... that was a trial and a half... and only done 1/2 of the reccy so far....
I didn't know there were so many bloody hills..... I now Hate Down hills, as you know whats coming next... Yep.. Up hill !!! Also, did you know that it cost £1,300.00 to rattle a bucket to collect moneys for a charity at a Well known shopping area in Manchester...!!!!! FFS!
