Hey,
I dont know much about computers so thought I'd seek advice! I fancy a new laptop, that will be used mainly for internet use, with a bit of downloading etc. Hard drive size doesn't really bother me, as anything will be better than my current 20gb! Dont want to spend more than I have to, about £400? I've seen a couple acers in Comet and Currys today, same price, one has an extra 80gb and a webcam, other has a better processor. Any view on which is best? Or if anything else can be put forward as better / cheaper? Didn't notice the Toshiba's in store, but they look like they might be worth considering as well, so added them to the compare! http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/com...105&sku=563552 http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/stor...m=null&tm=null# Cheers! |

Thanks for the reples.
I use it as my only computer so dont want something as small as a notebook. Just seen this http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.206-5794.aspx Bit more expensive, but has 4gb ram, decent processor and about £35 of clubcard points! |

Looks good that one. +1 on the numpad too ![]() More ram = big win. The microsoft office is trial based btw so you don't get word and stuff with it permanently, but if you ask they might sort somethin' out, dunno how that works. If not you can download openoffice or somethin'. |
