Default So how do you guys work out postage costs?

Got some parcels to send but some of them are being combined to make bigger heavier parcels and just wondering how you guys work it out.

I've looked at Royal Mail

http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/j...me=STANPARCELS

For example, the biggest parcel is 9.85 kgs

W - 590mm
H - 400mm
D - 360mm

I make that £12.61

Have I worked it our right?

Cheers

I would normally myself if it was something I was just sending to a mate or to my parents, but it's stuff I have sold so need to calculate a postage rate to charge.

Oh just over charge then
Either that or give them a nice cheap postage but take it back in the actual sale price

I'm guessing this is for ebay?

And get a price - you don't have to post it there and then

Yup, go the PO and get a price, unless you're allergic to queuing. Lots of queuing.

And beware people who don't know what they want, theres a lot of them there. Most of them are older than you and could do their "business" online (car tax etc) but can't.

The rest have recipients in foreign countries which confuse the addressing machine, and usually, staff.

or you could go to http://www.interparcel.com/

input your dimensions, and it cost 6.99 + vat and they come pick it up from your house.

I use www.parcel2go.com. Very good service, you'll likely get that collected and delivered next day for about £8.

Cheers guys, don't fancy taking the parcels to the PO and waiting for ages, there's swingarms and headlights and all sorts.

Just tried parcel 2 go.. Very good. I like them alot and they pick it up...

MINTER

Cheers
