Hi all
I've got the above forks to fit onto my sv650 as a front end swap, picked them up a little while ago whilst getting the other parts together ready for the conversion. This morning I moved the forks out of the living room (gf was getting unhappy about them being on the living room chair heh heh) and I heard a rattling sound coming from the inside of the rh fork as you move it about, coming from somewhere near the top, a noise I hadn't heard before. The lh fork doesn't do this. Anyone know if this is the norm for the forks? Also as you put the forks down horizontally you can hear the oil sloshing about which I thought was normal noise but now not so sure... If this helps, the forks were meant to be serviced by Ohlins last year and sprung for my weight which was the reason I got them. Cheers loads for your help all ![]() |

I think they are fairly similar cartridges to the SRAD, but maybe valved better. I think robw#70 had something (good) to say about them a while back.
You should be able to use SRAD600 yokes to keep steering lock etc. I think there is a minor difference in width but you should get away with it. I think it is in region of 1mm. Or you could use the SRAD wheel (also looks same as SV rear not angular spokes). Search for Nicky S thread about fitting GSXR1000K1 forks. The rattling could be something loose, I'd whip the fork top off and have a gander.

Cheers YC! Yep I'll have a ganders.
So far the bits I have gathered are the forks, SRAD 600 yokes and clip-ons, k1 copy mudguard which needs painting and k1-k3 discs. Wheel spindle next then the k1 wheel on payday! And also keeping an eye out for the calipers which are pretty rare on the bay these days (do TLS calipers fit also?)...all this provided the forks are ok of course... ![]() Cheers again YC ![]() |
