Default Me, a Grandad?

I've not finished being a kid yet.

Daughter number two comes and tells me "you're going to be a Grandad."

Chuffed to bits but allegdedly there won't be a Grandma - haha, i've had some mileage on that score.

Congrats Bri W. Best thing is, you can look forward to the little one, knowing you can hand back to your daughter at the end of the day

It is great being a granddad, finally someone who loves you for who you are and not what you can do for them.

Still useful to have a grandma about for the messy stuff.

Wait till they want to have goes on you bike.

It is our revenge for the years of hard work you gave us. Except our E's are legal ones and still get them buzzing.

Growing marrow. Nah, far easier to teach the grand kids consumerism and buy veg. Then mums get hit with the pester power.

However, they do get to your heart strings. My daughter is a terrible mum (I won't go into it here) her lad was crying to us at the weekend

"I need a mummy"

I get hit with pester power regardless My little lad has his own jungle in grandads green house. At the moment he'd put BluePete to shame! At seven year old hes got courgettes, different peppers, tomatoes, various cactus and quite a few other things on the go. He thinks he did it all, grandad 'just helps' . Bless, every weekend he spends ages in there apparently
