Question Pointy/Curvy Differences

I know there is a thread about Pointy vs Curvy but that is mostly about personal opinion. Are there any major technical differences between the two?

Sorry, I know how much of a newb question this must seem

apart from the cosmetic difference, the main difference i can think of is the curvy or better version is carbed and the pointy is fuel injected...

proberly some other technical differences but i don't know them

oh and welcome to the forum! as i haven't said it in the other thread yet.

- Different frames
- Different plastics
- Essentially the same engine, but with the older curvy having carbs, and the newer pointy having fuel injection

Essentially... the noise that comes out the exhaust, and the engine looks the same, but they're very much different in most other ways!

Performance wise, there is nothing in it.

At the weekend I was fighting tooth and nail with a competitor on the track, me on the pointy and him on the curvy. Neither had any advantage whatsoever on acceleration. We were both neck and neck, accelerating at exactly the same rate.

Open the throttle faster then!

Only place Ive notice the pointy to be faster is on uphill sections of race tracks. Curveys seem to bog a little but not much difference to be honest.
