Acoustic Help, my house echoes!!!
Just had a new vinyl flooring through the downstairs and its really nice golden oak. But it echoes. Is there something like a sound deadening material I can put in places out of sight to help it. We have a rug but its not helped much.

carpet over the top
 Serious note though, wall coverings will make a difference as will curtains etc. |

yep, seriously we have discussed it. This stuff was not cheap. But a cheap carpet may follow soon..............

Heavier curtains, carpet here and there, fabric covered sofas (not leather ones), decorative cushions, wooden bookshelves (with actual books on)...

Yep I have it all wrong.
Hard floor vinyl. Vertical blinds. Leather sofas. No shelves and no books. I do have a rug, but its not enough. Room is 21 foot long and 15 foot wide. All glass on one 15 foot side. I heard of some special sound deadeningpuctures for the walls, but dont want to waste cash if I should be getting a carpet. |
