Default Where to get bike repaired?

Hey guys,

My brake pedal has started... 'sticking' down. Meaning that it drags if I don't pull it up after using it. I've exhausted my very limited mechanical knowledge, after failing to work out how to get the brake level off. I was going to try greasing it.

So I thought I might as well take it to someone who knows what they're doing. I've booked it in at the place I bought it from, but they can't do the work until the 26th, which isn't ideal.

Does anyone has any suggestions for places to take the bike in the Eastleigh/Southampton area?

Thanks.

Have you tried Bikers in North Baddesley? My Pops knows the chap who runs it and they seem like a good bunch.

aye, I've only used them for parts as i work just down the road from them but their service is spot on

if you considering spike island because he is slap centre of Eastleigh i would advice you to not to, you just need to look at the **** he considers sell-able to work out why , crescent never have anyparts in stock and i learnt after leaving it there to get tyres fitted whilst at work they like to crack jokes like "oh storage is pretty full at the mo so expect a few scratches when you pick it up har har har" . i hear good things about doubletake in northam just long from the football stadium and from my dealings with them they are most good i always MOT there.

apparently the new owner of the village garage in colden comon are good also although yet to go there

Took it into Bikers this afternoon.

I'll let you know what I think of 'em after. So far they're in my good books. I turned up 5 minutes after they closed (and had locked up) and they let me in anyway

Very good. Labour was fairly cheap (48ph), and they did an excellent job.

Everything running smoothly again now, and I'm a happy chap

Plus, they text you when your bike is ready, which I thought was a nice touch.

Sounds like a problem I had. Removed offending pedal assembly - soaked in WD40 for half an hour working the movement occasionally. Cleaned up, lightly greased, replaced on bike - sorted.
