Thumbs down test run after full bike build the results

right these are the current issues
1/ front brakes judder when coming to stop eg not progressive almost kadence braking
2/ still runnibg like tractor after red ex put in
3/ front wheel feels like it about to fall off eg go over a small bump and it feel like the wheel has no spacers in it shifting from side to side
now none of these are particularly techincal answers but just the best i can describe
begin the list of answers please ive got 24 hrs left

1/ be more progressive with the brakes
2/ remove tractor engine and insert sv engine
3/ insert wheel spacers will fix problem easy enough.

I saw the pics you put up of who put it together. Frankly, you were askin' for it.

I'm amazed it runs at all.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest 1 & 3 are probably linked.

Not knowing what you've changed I'm assuming everything so:
1) Forks OK for straightness, oil level, springs & spacers OK?
2) Head races not too loose?
3) All pinch bolts done up to correct torque?
4) Wheel spacer & speedo drive present and correct? wheel axel torqued up correctly? wheel bearings OK?
5) Brakes moving freely, yet bolted on properly?

In short, I'd get the front wheel off the ground and move it round, side to side, back and forth and see if you can find any play or roughness, if so that should point you at the issue.

As per issue #2, "Running like a tractor" isn't really enough to go on, if you suspect the fuel is contaminated with water / dirt then drain the entire tank, including the fuel lines and carb float bowls. Redex is not a product I've got much faith in. Refill with clean, known good fuel. Alternatively it could be electrical, a stuck choke plunger, the carbs being a million miles out of ballance or almost anything else, you'll need to be more descriptive.

Hope this is of some help

Jambo

joking / not joking / cant tell

Anyway, Dave, I think jambo gives you a good list of things to start with. It all suggests bearings to me aswell. Did you have the carbs off? Check they are seating correctly (not leaking any air)

Good luck
