Default Not so good things to notice....

I rode back home from Plymouth today, as usual it was raining, thankfully all my textile gear held true to its waterproof claim, however, strangely my visor appears to leak, water was dripping down from the top of the visor. Im guessing this is fixable simply by replacing the seal?

Another thing i noted today tht i have come to notice more of is car drivers going deliberately out of their way to put me in harms way. One car sped up on a roundabout to block the exit i needed. I was in the correct lane for the exit and had i not looked over my shoulder n heard the car engine go nuts i wud have been a nasty bit of road kill. Jus goes to show the importance of those life savers i guess.

Yeah I agree but somedays the car drivers are more considerate than bike riders I find.

Yeah i cant deny that you do find considerate car drivers, alot are fairly good towards bikers n generally try to let you passed, just the few i have met that really seem to dislike bikers make it abit to dangerous for my liking.
But then again in not saying its not totally our fault for some of the reputation bikers have......have seem some bikers do ridiculous things that im sure would thoroughly annoy a car driver

In get what you mean, most of the time people are ok but there are days, or certain times of the day, when useless idiots come onto the road.

I'm always very thankfull to lorry drivers and bus drivers who make a huge effort to move aside just enbough for me to squeeze through when filtering, especcialy when the muppet in the car in the other lane wont move even though its easier for them. There are some nice people out there

with regards to roundabouts...I have had a few similar incidents. I have told two people this week to check their blind spots or use the blindspot area on their mirrors (van drivers). I see them, they dont see me.

Just be vigilant and remember to minimise the time spent alongside other vehicles

+1 to alpine, I always stop and let busses/coaches and lorries out as they seem to be the ones on the motorway commute who do more to make it easier for me.

Also +1 to the days when car drivers totally seem not to see you. To the extent it seems like they have it in for you. Hi-Viz all the way

The typical young girls at roundabouts who just go straight is another to watch out for, as they never ever look.
Most vans and lorries are nice but just be careful around the twiglight times in the winter ....everyone is dosy and not looking.

Your visor is not sealing against the (usually plastic) strip on the top of the face opening. See if it has a noticable gap and if you can adjust it out at the pivot points. If there is no real gap you may want to try adding a thin smear of grease on the plastic strip which will help make the seal better. My last two lids came with a tiny bottle of silicon grease for this purpose.

Twice this week while in the cage, I have been cut up on a dual lane roundabout (dual carriageway, 2 lanes round roundabout, onto dual carriageway), where I was trundling slowly straight on, guy decides to pull right accross my lane exiting roundabout without looking. Had to heavily brake both times.
Its not only motorbikes they don't notice.

I personally don't think it's a case of not noticing us, whether in cage or bike, I think it's that some people have hugely over inflated egos and think that it is THEIR road to do with what they please.

I think people need a reminder that a driving licence is a privildge, not a god given right.

I am happy to remind people of such this fact. But they don't care.

And because of such a reason, I try to be a courtious and safe road user - I dont want to loose my lisence!
