Default Heated Handbar Grips

I have just got a set of Heated handlebar grips today. Oxford Hot Grips. I was wondering if someone could help me fit them to my 2006 SV650 S. I dont have a clue what I am doing and dont want to **** up a £60 Investment

There was a thread started by -Ralph- a while back that gives you step by step instructions fella - I followed them and got mine fitted no bother at all. Should be easy enough to find if you do a search.

In fairness, they're pretty simple - the only tricky bits are making a tidy job of hiding the wires (I ran mine underneath the petrol tank) and having to trim down the throttle body to get the grips to fit.

A lot of people suggest fitting an R6 throttle body at this stage, as it's a dead cheap mod and you've got the grips off anyway.

Might also be worth reading the post i just put on a thread a minute ago. http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.p...85#post2112385

A few of the control units have failed on people, to such a degree that Oxford have now got an FAQ page dedicated to the issue with advice on fitting and wiring etc.

I;d also be curious to know if the fitting guide that comes in the box says any of the things they suggest on their FAQ page.
