Had my nearest miss in ages today.
Passing a car that at that moment stopped to let a people carrier out. They pulled out right at me- just swerved and made that "AAAAAAAH!" exclamation expecting to go down. I really don't know how I got out of that one. Was riding fairly carefully too- though I could have anticipated a little better, I didn't get much warning of it. Was only going at about 15mph too. Just had to share it- take care out there guys, but you already know that! D |

BBadger- you're right. Though we're getting to that time of year when the oddballs end up on the road who ONLY drive at Christmas. That's the really scary stuff!
Robo- Funny enough, this one didn't. Just a quick swerve, lots of adrenaline, relief and just telling myself I'm a very lucky boy. And smiling (after exclaiming "F@cking Idiot!". It's amazing how your arms/legs ache after that sudden shot of adrenaline, isn't it?! |

Ooh not nice is it. Similar thing happened to me on the way to the peaks rideout but it was the fact I wasn't riding particularly carefully that saved me. Van slows to turn left in front of me I moved to the left saw the junction he was going into was clear went to over take the van, opened the throttle wide open, 4x4 comes outta nowhere in my peripherals and slams on the anchors stopping exactly where I was a split second before must have skimmed my rear end.
I'm still amazed at rai's narrow escape where someone pulled out on her and ****ted her exhaust.

Yeah, I would probably go mental. I think I would get off of my bike and have a tantrum if someone had done that too me!
